Agnes A. Koss

Agnes A. (Dabkowski) Koss, 88, of the Plantsville section of Southington, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at the Summit of Plantsville. She was the loving and devoted wife of Richard L. Koss for 66 blessed years.

Agnes was born on November 24, 1936 in New Britain, CT to the late Joseph and Theodesia (Dumin) Dabkowski.

She worked at Stanley Works for many years, retiring in 1999. Agnes was a longtime active member of the First Lutheran Church in Southington.

In addition to her husband Richard, she is survived by two children, daughter, Katherine Ionatta and husband David of Warwick, RI and son, Timothy Koss and wife Cheryl of Spring Hill, FL, 3 grandchildren, Amanda Hope (Megan), Krista Shaw (Matthew) and Jordan Koss and 2 cherished great-grandchildren, Clara and Oliver. She is also survived by her brother, Edward Dabkowski and wife Gina of OH, sister Cecelia Roberts and husband Phil of Bristol and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Dabkowski, Jr.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Agnes’ memory may be made to the First Lutheran Church, 232 Bristol St., Southington, CT 06489.

A memorial service will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at the First Lutheran Church, 232 Bristol St., Southington. Burial will be held at a later date.
