Albert A. Lapreay

Albert A. Lapreay, 86, of Southington, CT passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 28, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Laraine (Maddalena) Lapreay for 58 years.

Albert was born on August 17, 1938 in Putnam, CT to the late Adelard and Myrtice (Perry) Lapreay. He worked as an operating engineer at Tilcon for over 40 years, retiring in 2000. 

Albert was a member of the Elks Lodge #1669 in Southington for many years and was an avid golfer. Al took great pride in providing for his family. He was a friend to all. Spending time with family and friends was time well spent.

In addition to his wife Laraine, he is survived by 2 sons, John Lapreay of Fairfield and David Lapreay and his fiancé, Lara Nichols of Bristol and 3 grandchildren, Michelle, Joseph and Erica Lapreay. He is also survived by his sister, Charlotte Bennett and her husband Jan of Berlin. He was predeceased by his daughter-in-law, Maria Lapreay and his sister, Phyllis Paraskevas.
