Andrew Scott Chesanek

Andrew “Scott” Chesanek, 63, of Winsted, CT, passed away suddenly on Friday, July 17, 2026 at his home.

Scott was born on September 28, 1962 in Southington, CT to the late Andrew and Gail “Bonnie” (Belleni) Chesanek. He graduated from Southington High School, Class of 1980, where he played baseball all four years.

Scott worked at USPS in Hartford, retiring after many years of service. He lived a very active lifestyle and enjoyed being outdoors; hiking, biking, kayaking, skiing, cooking and gardening. Scott loved to watch eagles fly overhead when he was at the lake Kayaking.  He was also a big fan of the Boston Red Sox and the NY Giants.  Scott was always the first to arrive at Family get-togethers and his stuffed shells on Christmas Eve were the absolute best!

Scott is survived by four siblings; Karen Condon of Portland, CT, Steven Chesanek of Bradenton, FL, Dianne Greaves and husband Thomas of Westbrook, CT and Garry Chesanek and wife Joannie of Monterey, TN; four nieces and nephews; Drew Chesanek and wife Shaya of Bradenton, FL, Kayla Fineran and husband Matthew of Fairfield, CT, Cody Greaves and Thomas Greaves, both of Westbrook, CT and four great-nieces and nephews; Carter, Kira Rae, Lila Rhodes and Grady. He is also survived by a large extended family including his special aunt, Laura Mae Belleni of East Hampton.
