Anna Skiba

Anna Skiba was most well known for being a loving Baba to her four grandchildren. Anna Skiba, 68, of New Britain, CT, died peacefully in New Britain on November 13, 2025.

Anna was born in Poland in 1957 to Irena and Franciszek Nosek who, like herself, worked hard all their lives. Anna studied architecture in school, and after moving to the United States worked in manufacturing. Anna loved the beach as it reminded her of growing up near the ocean in the city ofGdansk. In retirement, she could never be bothered between the hours of 12-2pm so she could enjoy watching her favorite soap operas.

Anna was predeceased by her parents and younger brother, Slawomir. She is survived by her loving daughter Joann, her heartfelt son-in-law Michael Bloniasz- both of whom cared for her well-being- and their four children Rune, Sage, Xane, and Enok.

Anna’s most important role was that as a grandparent. She treasured her time with her grandkids and loved being their Baba. Her priority was always their happiness.

Anna had the softest spot in her heart for furry friends. Everyone who knew Anna knew how much she loved animals. She was especially fond of boxer dogs. We are sure she was greeted in Heaven with the barks of Chequita, Elza, Duke, Max, Toffee, and Miller.

Anna will always be remembered for her kindness and animated story telling. We couldn’t have asked for a better Baba, and we will miss Anna every day. Her memory will live on with those who loved her.

A funeral service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, November 21, 2025 at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville, Calling hours will be prior to the service from 4-6:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
