Barbara (MacLelland) Kratzke, 89, of Southington passed away peacefully on Friday February 27, 2015 at Riverside Health and Rehabilitation Center in East Hartford. She had been the loving wife of the late Arthur R. Kratzke for 41 years.

Born in Southington on February 7, 1926, to the late Nelson and Bertha MacLelland, she had been a longtime Southington resident and member of the Plantsville Congregational Church, where she sang in the choir for fifty years.

Barbara is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Rick Woods of East Granby, and Susan and Michael Sadlak of Coventry. She also leaves behind her grandchildren; Ryan Woods and Gregory Sadlak along with a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters, and her beloved husband Art.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Barbara may be made to the Alzheimer Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at the Plantsville Congregational Church, 109 Church St. Plantsville, CT. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Southington. Calling hours will be held before the service from 10 - 11 a.m. at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville.
