Barbara J. Lazzari

Barbara J. (Screen) Lazzari, 76, of the Plantsville section of Southington, passed away unexpectedly and very peacefully at her home on Saturday, May 17, 2025. She was the loving wife and best friend of David J. Lazzari for 40 years.

Born in New Britain, CT on May 28, 1948 to the late Ervin and Rita (Carter) Screen, she had been a longtime Southington resident.

Barbara was a devoted wife, loving mother and wonderful grandmother and great-grandmother who always put her family first. She enjoyed reading, doing puzzles and tending to her beautiful flowers.

She is survived by two children, daughter, Lori LePage and son, Kevin Lazzari and his wife Delia, both of Southington, four grandchildren, Taylor, Brandi and Cassie LePage and Ashley Lazzari and two cherished great-granddaughters, Penelope and Ophelia. She is also survived by one brother, Kenneth Screen and his wife Doris of New Britain, nieces and nephews, her companion, Thomas Reardon of Southington and her very close friends, Bonnie and Ken Kizilski of Southington. In addition to her husband Dave, Barbara was predeceased by her brother, Gary Screen and her beloved Bentley.

A funeral service will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 23, 2025 at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, Southington.
