Beverly Desrosiers

Beverly (Heyke) Desrosiers, 89, formerly of Meriden, CT, and Homosassa, FL, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 20, 2026. She was the loving wife of the late Robert “Bob” Desrosiers.

Beverly was born on March 29, 1937, in Hartford, the daughter of the late Julius and Olga (Gruneau) Heyke.

In her younger years, Beverly worked as a banquet manager at the Yankee Silversmith Inn in Wallingford. She later worked for DATTCO Bus Company, where she remained until her retirement. Beverly was also a former member of Zion Lutheran Church in Southington.

Beverly was one of a kind—funny, loving, and independent. She had a way of making people laugh and a personality that was impossible to forget. She will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, her strong spirit, and, most of all, the love she had for her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who treasured the time she spent with those she loved.

Beverly had a deep love of music and could often be found singing along to her favorite songs. She was an avid reader and book collector, and she loved surrounding herself with beautiful flowers. She also had a special place in her heart for animals, especially her beloved dog, Henry. She tenderly gave Henry his name in memory of her brother, Henry Heyke, who was killed in action during World War II.

Some of Beverly’s happiest times were the simple ones spent with family. In Connecticut, she loved sitting by the lake with her family, a glass of wine, and a good book. In Florida, she was just as happy relaxing by the pool surrounded by the people she loved, with a glass of wine and, of course, a good book nearby. And then there was shopping. Oh, how Beverly loved to shop! Put a shopping cart in her hands and off she went, happy as could be. There was always somewhere to go, something to look at, and, most likely, something she absolutely needed. That was Beverly—she knew how to enjoy the little things and have some fun along the way.

Beverly is survived by her children, Diana Naples and her husband, Peter; Ken Csont; and Laura Lentocha and her husband, Raymond; and her daughter-in-law, Rebekah Csont; her grandchildren, Danny and Rylie; her great-grandchildren, Jackson, Hunter, Tucker, Deven, and Dylann; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her beloved husband, Bob, Beverly was predeceased by her son, Stephen Csont, and her four siblings, Herbie Heyke, Henry Heyke, Olga Gagnon, and Claire Lynch.

She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
