Cecile B. Zantow

Cecile (Boutot) Zantow, 79, of Southington, died peacefully after a brief illness, at Countryside Manor on Thursday, August 11, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.

Cecile was the widow of William D. Zantow. She was born on January 16, 1943 in Stockholm, Maine, daughter of the late Romeo and Ludivine (Michaud) Boutot.

Cecile worked at many establishments before owning and operating The Carousel Restaurant in 1995 until she retired in 2013. She enjoyed watching and rooting for her beloved NY Yankees. She also enjoyed going to the casino and playing cribbage with her siblings.

Cecile is survived by three children, Richard Zantow and wife Alexandra of Avon, James Zantow of Bristol and Cheryl Zantow of Southington, 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Geneva St. Arnauld (Lawrence), Jerome Boutot, Ramona Dellavecchia (Maurice), Galen Boutot (Elaine), brother-in-law, Robert Soucy, sister-in- law, Marcia Stanish, many nieces and nephews and her longtime friends, Patricia Rabis and Judith Limmer.

In addition to her husband Bill, she was predeceased by sisters, Geraldine Soucy and Charlene Albert (Gilbert); brothers, Roland (Bernie), Gerald (Geralda), Robert (Theresa) and Donald (Lorina Bolduc).

A funeral service will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 15, 2022 at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St, Plantsville. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Southington.
