Charles A. Wilmot

Charles “Chuck” A. Wilmot, 72, of Southington, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 18, 2026 surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of Jan C. (Homicki) Wilmot for 52 years.

Chuck was born on January 22, 1954 in Bristol to the late George and Berttina (Rollins) Wilmot. He graduated from Southington High School, Class of 1972, and proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Whale and the USS San Francisco from 1976 – 1984. He was honorably discharged as a Machinist’s Mate Petty Officer First Class (MM1).

Chuck was a proud Veteran and an active member of the American Legion Kiltonic Post 72 in Southington, serving as a Past Commander. He was also a member of the Submarine Veteran’s Club in Groton.

In addition to his wife Jan, Chuck is survived by one daughter, Shannon Wilmot of Cheshire, two grandchildren, Alyssa Peyre and Breandan Clarke and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one sister, Delores Vidito.
