David A. Forgione

David A. Forgione, 64, of the Plantsville section of Southington, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 28, 2023. 

Dave was born on December 4, 1958 in Middletown, CT and was the son of the late Ralph and Ruth (Kritz) Forgione.

Dave owned and operated F&F Concrete in Plantsville alongside his father for many years. He loved working with his father and growing the business. Dave played a pivotal role in the construction of F&F’s  state of the art concrete plant that stands tall in the center of Plantsville to this day. He was very proud of his business and loved the concrete industry. In his best years, he lived life to the fullest, working hard and enjoying time with his family and friends and his beloved dogs. He was affectionately known as “Fugi” and had a special way of making people around him feel like family.  Dave loved rooting for the NY Yankees and frequently going to Yankee Stadium to catch a game. He enjoyed fishing on his boat with friends and teaching his grandkids how to fish. Dave had a need for speed and was a huge car enthusiast, treasuring his 55 Chevy which he owned since he was 15 years old. 

He is survived by three children: Lauren Forgione and her wife Ruby Russell of West Hartford, David Forgione Jr. and his wife Lauren and Daniel Forgione and his wife Kaitlin, both of Plantsville, 7 grandchildren: Ella, David III, Jack, Charlotte, Madison, Vance and Gwen and his former wife, Peggy Forgione of Plantsville. He also leaves behind a large loving extended family and many friends.
