Dennis R. Sikoski

Dennis R. Sikoski, 56, of Southington, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, September 26, 2021.

Dennis was born on June 29, 1965 in Detroit, MI to Ruth (Waterman) Sikoski and the late Michael Sikoski. He proudly served in the U.S. Army as a military police officer.

Dennis served in the Hartford Police Department for 20 years where he was a K-9 handler for the Bomb Squad Unit and retired at the rank of detective. After his retirement, Dennis enjoyed his second career at Southington High School where he worked in security and had an opportunity to help kids. Dennis was happiest spending time with his kids and dogs, especially at home for summer barbeques.

Dennis is survived by two children; son, Jason Sikoski of E. Hartford and daughter, Kathryn Rossitto and her husband Justin of Southington. He is also survived by his mother Ruth Sikoski of Windham; two brothers, Robert Sikoski and his wife Karen of Somers, Michael Sikoski and his wife Bonnie of Windham, his sister, Karen Therrien and her husband Don of Vernon and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service with military honors will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St, Plantsville.
