Dennis W. Slight, of Southington and formerly of Durham, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, June 7, 2026. He was the loving husband of Deborah J. (Graham) Slight for 46 years.

Dennis was born on February 3, 1955 in New Bedford, MA to the late Leo and Irene (Ponte) Slight. He graduated from Coginchaug High School in Durham, Class of 1974. After high school, he joined the family business, L & I Refrigeration, working for 52 years until his retirement as President in 2025.

Dennis loved sailing, playing cribbage and collecting and fixing old clocks. He always stayed very active and volunteered as a Cub Scout leader and taught EMT Classes.

In addition to his wife Debbie, Dennis is survived by two sons, Bryan Slight and his wife Megan of Medford, MA and Shaun Slight and his wife Vania of Plantsville and one cherished grandson, Michael. He is also survived by his twin brother, David Slight and his wife Marianne of Durham and Philip Slight and his wife Shari of North Carolina and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Dennis was predeceased by his brother, Roger Slight.
