Dina M. Altemus

Dina Marie (Heverling) Altemus, 46, of Southington, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Cheshire Regional Rehab Center. She had been the loving wife of Charles S. Altemus III for 22 years.

Dina was born on October 19, 1969 in Waterbury. She was Porter and Chester Institute graduate and worked as a greeter for Toys "R" Us, Toy Works, Lowes and the Disney Store. Dina was also a lover of dogs.

In addition to her husband Charles, she is survived by her son Charles S. Altemus IV of Southington; her father Harry Franklin Heverling II and his wife Jean of Sun City, AZ; three brothers: Donald Zaccario, Harry Franklin Heverling III and Matthew Heverling and her foster father, Carl J. Rossow of Tolland. She was predeceased by her mother, Anne (Slason) Zaccaria and stepfather Mo Zaccaria, and her Slason grandparents.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at the Grace United Methodist Church, 121 Pleasant St., Southington. There are no calling hours.
