Donna H. Randall

Donna H. Randall, 84, of the Plantsville section of Southington, passed away after a long illness on Wednesday, September 9, 2026. She was the beloved wife of Dennis A. Randall, recently celebrating their 63rd wedding anniversary on August 24.

Donna was born on June 23, 1942 in Hartford to the late Whitney P. and Dorothy (Freytag) Holcombe. She graduated from Simsbury High School and went on to earn her Bachelor's degree in Home Economics from UCONN in 1964.

Donna had a passion for home decorating and worked as an interior decorator after devoting many years to raising her growing family. Vacation getaways during those early years with the family often meant traveling to their favorite coastal destinations including Cape Cod, MA and The Outer Banks, NC. She and Dennis loved to travel, taking many international trips together. They enjoyed springs and summers on Bantam Lake and winters in the Florida Keys. Donna also cherished time with her close group of friends, whom she called “The Gang,” sharing many lunches, dinners, and wonderful moments together.

Donna was passionate about the arts. She enjoyed visiting museums and held season tickets to The Bushnell and Hartford Stage. Donna was a member of a women’s investment group in Simsbury for many years and loved the friendships she had there. She was deeply giving, loving, kind, and generous—a devoted wife and mother who always supported her sons’ sporting events when they were young. Donna gave freely to others and was loved by all.

In addition to her husband Dennis, Donna is survived by four sons; Paul M. Randall of Plantsville, Brian M. Randall and his wife Lisa of E. Hampton, David A. Randall and his wife Susan of Hopkinton, MA and Steven D. Randall and his wife Christine of NYC and six grandchildren; Kyle, Lauren (Justin), Kathleen, Sarah (Brent), Jason and Samantha. She is also survived by one sister, Susan Davis and her husband George of New Jersey, four nephews and their families and many dear friends. In addition to her parents, Donna was predeceased by one sister, Paula Timinski.
