Dorothy Coppola

Dorothy Coppola, 91, of Southington, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 18, 2026 at the HOCC at New Britain.

Dorothy was born on June 12, 1934 in New Haven to the late George and Esther (Barker) Wade. She worked in different retail stores over the years, loved to dance and enjoyed trips to the casino. She also adored her dog Ginger and looked forward to their daily walks.

Dorothy is survived by four children; daughter, Sue Sheehan and her husband John of Plantsville, son, David Coppola and his wife Kim of Southington, Bev Downes and her husband David of Southington and son, Richard Coppola and his fiancé Denise of NC, nine grandchildren; Jonathan Sheehan (Katie), Emily Queen (Matthew), Elizabeth Piazza (Matthew), Matthew Downes (Ashley), Jillian Chevrette (Matthew), Ashley Bodinski (Joseph), Kayla Coppola, Catherine Coppola and Joseph Coppola (Abby) and nine great-grandchildren; Eleanore, Thomas, Braydan, Theodore, Lily, Grayson, Adeline, Delilah and Caden and two on the way! She is also survived by one brother, Robert Wade of Southington and many nieces and nephews. Dorothy was predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Debra Coppola and four siblings; brothers, William and Leonard Wade and sisters, Marguerite Kopylec and Lorraine Krystololski.
