Douglas K. Sargis

Douglas K. Sargis, 57, of Clermont, FL and formerly of Southington, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 28, 2016. He was the loving husband of Patricia (Stout) Sargis for 30 years.

Born October 12, 1958 in Bristol to the late Sam and Margaret (O'Leary) Sargis, he had been a longtime Southington resident before moving to Florida in 2011.

Doug worked as a carpenter and millwright for over 20 years. He loved golfing and most of all, spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife Patricia, he is survived by two sons: Jeffrey Sargis of Southington and Brian Sargis of FL; his sister Kathy Wiegert and her husband Dick of Bristol; two brothers, David Sargis and his wife Peggy of Cromwell and Randy Sargis of Bristol and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville on Thursday, February 4, 2016 from 9-11:00 a.m. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. The burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, Southington.
