Edward Miron

Edward Miron, 84, former longtime Southington resident, passed away peacefully with his daughter Michelle by his side, at Trinity Oaks Health and Rehab in Salisbury, NC on Thursday, January 14, 2021. He had been the loving husband of the late Catherine A. (Wurzinger) Miron for 60 years.

Ed was born on June 16, 1936 in Southington to the late Alfred and Emily (Walonoski) Miron and had a been lifelong Southington resident until moving to North Carolina two years ago, where he spent his final days surrounded by his loving family.

Ed retired from Dack Industries in Bristol. He loved to fish and was a talented woodworker. He built many pieces that many family members still have in their homes. Most of all, Ed loved his family and cherished his great-grandchildren.

He is survived by 4 children: Inette Miron of VT, Edward Miron and his wife Sherri of Plantsville, Charlene Miron of Plantsville and Michelle Salgado and her husband Bryan of NC and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ed is also survived by his sister, Kathleen Scheidel and her husband Rich of Ohio and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brothers, Alfred, Patrick, Robert and Francis and his sister, Laura.
