Elisa Rose Zajac

Elisa Rose (Cammarota) Zajac, 72, of Southington, daughter of the late Pasquale and Kathryn (Longo) Cammarota and wife of Steven Zajac for 49 years, passed away in comfort and peace on Monday, May 23, 2016 at the HCC of New Britain General after a brief illness.

Elisa enjoyed going to the pool with her husband, family gatherings, going to the casino and playing cards with the girls on Friday nights. She was so looking forward to her Class Reunion in September with her Class of 1961.

Besides her husband, she leaves her loving children, Paula Zajac of Southington and Steven Zajac and his wife Tina of Colchester and her grandchildren: Tyler, Alyssa and Cody Zajac. She also leaves behind her sister Roseann Kozlowski and her husband Robert of Kensington, two sisters-in-law, Lavinia Carbone Cammarota of Wethersfield and Cheryl Geremia Cammarota of Middlefield; her niece Carrie Reny her husband Gerry of Durham and her nephew Matthew Cammarota and his wife Maria of Wallingford and many great-nieces and great-nephews, all of who will miss her so dearly. She was predeceased by her brothers Patrick in 2005 and Frank in 2013, who were there to lovingly greet her along with her parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 27, 2016 at the St. Dominic's Church, 1050 Flanders Rd., Southington. Burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Southington. Calling hours will be held before the service from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S.
