Elizabeth (Chubet) Hennessey, 59, of Southington, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at HCC at New Britain General. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Born October 24, 1956 in Southington to the late Edward and Florence (Billingham) Chubet, she had been a lifelong Southington resident.

Liz graduated from Southington High School, Class of 1974. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from UCONN and then earned her Master's Degree from RPI. She was a longtime employee of Pratt and Whitney. Liz was an avid golfer and was one of the original members of the Lady Falcons Golf League.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years, James Hennessey, her daughter Kathleen Hennessey-McDonald and husband Ryan, her son Matthew of Southington and three grandchildren: Brody, Quinlynn and Ashton, all of Southington. She also leaves behind two sisters: Anne Chubet-Mangiacopra and husband Anthony and Katherine Mason and husband Dr. Brian Mason and seven brothers: Michael Chubet, Robert Chubet and his partner Rose Tomasetti, Richard Chubet and wife Kathleen, James Chubet, Thomas Chubet, Joseph Chubet and wife Susan and Christopher Chubet and wife Lucia; her sister-in-law Lorraine Chubet and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
