Elsie P. Walicki

Elsie (Pekrul) Walicki, 101, lifelong Southington resident, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, November 24, 2025, with her loving family by her side.

Elsie was born on August 6, 1924 in Southington to the late Alfred and Martha (Konkoski) Pekrul. She worked as an administrative financial assistant, eventually retiring from Coordinated Systems in West Hartford. Elsie was a former member of the First Lutheran Church in Southington. She was also very active in the Calendar House, where she served as a past treasurer and sat on the Board of Directors. Elsie lived her life with a strong faith and commitment to her family as a loving mother and mother-in-law, and the best friend to her only daughter, Jeanne. She will be deeply missed.

Elsie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jeanne and Bill Leiner of Southington, with whom she shared their home, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Edward J. Walicki, Jr. and brother, Alfred Pekrul and his wife Puzzy.
