Emily DellaPuca

Emily (Polak) DellaPuca, 94, of Southington, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 10, 2026 surrounded by her family. She was the wife of late Paul R. DellaPuca for 51 years.

Emily was born on July 9, 1931 in Laflin, PA to the late George and Katherine (Kravonka) Polak.

She retired from Allied Control after many years in quality control. Emily enjoyed watching UConn Women’s basketball and looked forward to family picnics. Above all else, she devoted her life to her family, staying close with her father’s cousins and offering constant love and support to her children and grandchildren.

Emily is survived by her son, Edward DellaPuca and his wife Elaine of South Carolina and her daughter, Paula Johndro and her husband Michael of Maine, three grandchildren, Jason DellaPuca (Nikki) of CT, Steven Johndro (Shelley) and Christopher Johndro (Katrina), both of Maine and three great-grandchildren, Hannah, Cameron and Mackenzie. She is also survived by her brother, Albert Polak and his wife Lillian of Plantsville and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Paul, Emily was predeceased by her sister, Mary Oblon.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Emily’s memory may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

A funeral service will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 15, 2026 at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, Southington.
