Emma R. Clemens

June 20, 2020 — June 6, 2024

Southington & Bristol

Emma Rose Clemens, age 3, of Bristol and Southington, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving and devoted parents, on June 6, 2024.

She was born in Bristol on June 20, 2020 and in her short three years on this earth, was a shining example of how to be fearless, lovable and a big force of nature in a little body.

Emma was a rockstar, fighting every day against stage IV brain cancer. Her family stood by her side through it all, making sure she was comfortable and surrounded by love and joy every step of the way. Even on her toughest days, Emma was unfazed and always ready to play. Although she will be missed endlessly, her memory and spirit will be carried on by all of the lives she has touched.

Emma’s laugh and smile were contagious. Anyone who had the chance to get to know Emma saw she may be tiny, but she was mighty and there was no stopping her or her sense of adventure. If we were going somewhere, Emma was not being left behind. All we could hear is the pitter patter of her little feet on the floor immediately followed by her beautiful little voice shouting, “I comin!” right behind us. She loved nothing more than her family and friends, especially her big brother and little sister, sharing laughs and love every day. When she wasn’t hiding and sneaking late night snacks out of the pantry with mom, or on bike rides with dad, Emma could be found playing with her Barbie’s or baby dolls that she took everywhere. She loved her puppies, Bert and Ernie, swimming, eating ice cream, blowing bubbles, throwing water balloons and playing at the park or in the sandbox. Emma was an adventurous, creative and spectacular little girl! She was the heart of everything she did.

Emma leaves behind her mother, Andrea L. Altman of Bristol and father, Evan R. Clemens of Plantsville; her older brother, Trevor and her younger sister, Brianna; maternal grandmother, Jennifer Habakangas of Bristol, paternal grandmother, Kate Madin of Plantsville,  aunt, Lauren Clemens of Plantsville, two uncles, Brian Barry of Wallingford and Erik Levesque of Bristol; her faithful dogs, Bert and Ernie, and countless people who will be forever changed by the gift of her short but beautiful life.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Emma may be made to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center (https://www.connecticutchildrens.org/).
