Ethel (Kulesa) Dziedzic, of Plantsville, beloved wife of the late Henry Dziedzic, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 7, 2025.
Born on July 21, 1924, in Winsted, Connecticut, Ethel was one of eight children of the late Karol and Nellie (Kolosinski) Kulesa. She was raised in Terryville and attended local schools. Ethel was formerly employed by Cooper Instruments in Middlefield.
A devoted member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Southington, Ethel was active in the Immaculata Women’s Group. She served as an extraordinary Eucharistic Minister and as a trustee of the parish. She gave her time generously not only to her church, but also to causes close to her heart. Deeply patriotic, Ethel was a proud member of the Polish Legion of American Veterans Auxiliary, rising to the position of State President in 1955. She also volunteered faithfully for over 25 years at the Connecticut State Veterans Hospital.
Ethel is survived by her son, the Rev. Gerald H. Dziedzic. She was predeceased by her siblings: Charles, Eugene, Casimir, Francis, Josephine, Sophie, and Henrietta.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ethel’s memory may be made to St. Luke Parish, 99 Bristol St., Southington, CT 06489.
