Francis “Fran” M. Triano, 77, of the Plantsville section of Southington, passed away peacefully at home on October 26, 2023, after a long illness, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on November 24, 1945, to the late Louis and Rose (Santoro) Triano, Fran grew up in Waterbury, Connecticut. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Spanish from Southern Connecticut State University and a master’s degree in secondary education from Central Connecticut State University.
Prior to his retirement, Fran was employed by the Southington Public School System for 32 years. He was a Spanish teacher at John F. Kennedy Middle School where he met Nancy, his beloved wife of 51 years. In addition to his wife, Fran leaves two daughters, Laura R. Triano, MD, and Lisa C. Triano, both of Southington, who were his pride and joy. He is also survived by his sister, Joanne Tellerico and brother-in-law David of Cheshire, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Fran will be remembered for his kind heart and easy-going nature. Above all, he cherished life’s simple pleasures and was happiest spending time with his family and close friends, whether listening to music, enjoying time outdoors on a sunny day, or sharing one of his famous homemade culinary masterpieces. He had a remarkable gift for seeing the good in people and in the world and leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love for his family.
