Gail F. Chesanek

Gail Frances “Bonnie” (Belleni) Chesanek, 81, of Southington, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2020.  She was the loving wife of the late Andrew E. Chesanek for 60 years.

She was born on August 22, 1938 to the late Stephen C. and Alma F. (Bartlett) Belleni of Plainville, CT.

She is survived by five children: Karen Condon of Portland, Steven Chesanek of Bradenton, FL, Andrew Scott Chesanek of Winsted, CT, Dianne Greaves and husband Thomas of Westbrook, CT, Garry Chesanek and wife Joannie of Colebrook, CT. One sister Laura Belleni of East Hampton, CT.  Predeceased by one infant brother Gary Belleni.  She had  4 grandchildren, Drew Chesanek and wife Shaya of Bradenton, FL, Kayla Chesanek of Stamford ,CT, Cody Greaves and Thomas Greaves of Westbrook, CT and one great-grandson, Carter Chesanek of FL.  She leaves her very dear and loyal cat Daisy, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Gail enjoyed spending time with her friends at the Spring Lake Village, the "Knitting Knuts", the activities at the clubhouse, socials, Bocce, the Calendar House trips, crocheting, exercise classes -a member of  "TOPS." She loved luncheons with the "RED HATS." She had a passion for her beautiful garden and was a member of The Garden Club.  She loved living at the Spring Lake Village with all her wonderful friends that she will miss, as well as her lifelong friends.   She enjoyed shopping and dressing up and had a love for "pocketbooks!"  She enjoyed family gatherings during the holidays, Mother’s Day brunches with her daughters and her yearly tradition of baking Christmas cookies with family.  She is remembered for her kindness, beautiful "sparkling” hazel eyes and bright smile.
