Gary M. Uliasz

Gary M. Uliasz, 74, of Plantsville, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 14, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of Karen (Pavano) Uliasz for 48 years.

Gary was born on June 12, 1952 in Southington to the late Frank Sr. and Kathryn (Maigarie) Uliasz. He graduated from Southington High School, Class of 1970, and worked as a machine rebuilder for many years at Pratt & Whitney’s Small Tool Division, US Machine Tool and retired from Hanwha Aerospace USA.

A humble man with a quiet demeanor, Gary was selfless. He was a hard worker and always put his family first. To know him was to love him, as he had a heart of gold. He was a wonderful husband, father and “Pop” who always showed up for his family. He enjoyed coaching and managing his daughters’ softball and basketball teams while they were growing up. He loved playing guitar, singing, and playing the harmonica. Gary was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox, New York Giants and UConn basketball. He enjoyed taking his dog, Kane, to the park each day. He also cherished trips to Cape Cod, a special place for him and his wife, Karen.

In addition to his wife Karen, he is survived by two devoted daughters, Jennifer Massey and her husband David, and Kristy Uliasz, both of Plainville and three cherished grandsons, Dylan, Tyler and Jaimeson. He is also survived by his brothers-in-laws, Jerry Pavano and his wife Betsy of Navarre, FL and Michael Pavano and his wife Beth of Southington, many nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Kane. In addition to his parents, Gary was predeceased by his brother and sister-in law, Frank Uliasz Jr. and Sharon.
