Genevieve P. Maigarie

Genevieve P. (Kiltonic) Maigarie, 99, of Southington, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late, Edward J. Maigarie, Sr.

Genevieve was born July 12, 1927, in Southington, CT, daughter of the late Stephen and Helen (Golec) Kiltonic.

A devoted working mother, Genevieve held a deep love for her family and remained steadfast in her faith. For many years, she brought that same dedication to her role as the office manager at Nelson Screw Machine Co.

She is survived by her sons, Stanley Maigarie (Nancy) of Plantsville, CT, and John Maigarie of Georgia, 3 grandchildren who were the light of her life, Andrew Maigarie (Natalie), Kendra Pheasant (Jason), and Siobhan Ciccarello, great-grandchildren; Colton, Brantley, Avalene, Callyn, and Samantha. In addition to her husband, Genevieve was predeceased by her son, Edward M. Maigarie, Jr., grandson, Michael Ciccarello, brothers, Thomas Kiltonic, John Kiltonic and Stephen Kiltonic and her sister, Helen Moyer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at St. Dominic's Church, 1050 Flanders Rd., Southington. Burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Southington. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 9 – 10 a.m. at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville.
