On December 15, 2025, Grace “Babe” (Constantino) La Montagne, of Southington, was escorted by the angels to the Heavenly gates, met by the apostles, and is now in the arms of Jesus. Grace was born in New Britain on October 27, 1934, daughter of the late Grace (Rossman) Constantino and Dominick Constantino. She attended New Britain High School where she met and fell in love with her future husband, Armand E. La Montagne, and for 71 years they shared their lives together.
Grace’s passion was raising her three daughters, caring for her five grandchildren and enjoying her seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her siblings, Rosie Calvo, Domenic Constantino and Phyllis Appleby. In addition to her husband Armand, she is survived by her daughters, Susan Boislard, Janice Jennetta and Diane Bennett; her grandchildren, Jocelyn Alia, Nathan Boislard, Meghan DeFilippo, Catie and Jack Jennetta and her great-grandchildren, Brayden, Avery, Hudson, Gemma, Ryder, Gavin and Charlee.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 19, 2025 at St. Dominic’s Church, 1050 Flanders Rd., Southington. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, Southington. Calling hours will be held prior to the Mass from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville.
