Guy Chamberland, 70, of Wolcott, passed away after a brief illness on Monday, September 29, 2025 at Bristol Hospital. He was the loving husband of Pauline (Plourde) Chamberland for 47 years.
Guy was born on June 16, 1955 in New Brunswick, Canada to the late Armand and Germaine (Hebert) Chamberland.
He graduated from Plainville High School, Class of 1973 and worked as a truck driver for many years. Guy was a man of few words, but when he spoke, he was sure to make you laugh. He always put his family first and was his grandkid’s biggest fan. Without fail, Guy could be heard from the sidelines cheering loudly with a “Yea Baby!” after even the smallest accomplishment. Guy also loved motorcycles and his 1978 Harley-Davidson Low Rider was his pride and joy.
In addition to his wife Pauline, Guy is survived by three children, Shanon Grosso and her husband Nick of Cheshire, Adam Chamberland of Wolcott and Kate Veilleux and her husband Erik of East Hartford, three grandchildren, Joe, Josh and Alexis and one grandson on-the-way. He is also survived by one sister, Lynn Godin and her husband Dan of Bristol and many nieces and nephews.
Guy was predeceased by three sisters, Claire, Anne and Lise and one infant brother, Luke.
