Jacqueline Clara (Tanguay) Dupre Dressel, 91, of the Plantsville section of Southington, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, February 10, 2021.

Born on August 10, 1929 in Waterbury, one of ten, to the late Wilfrid and Marie Rose (Morissette) Tanguay, she had been a lifelong Southington resident.

Jackie was a longtime active member at St. Aloysius Church where she taught catechism and was a Eucharistic Minister. She was also a reader at St. Aloysius Church and the Immaculate Conception Church for many years. Jackie was a talented cake decorator and enjoyed teaching classes. She was also an avid sewer and has knitted thousands of hats that she donated to different charities around the world. Jackie's favorite past time was bowling where she earned numerous Senior Olympic gold medals.

Jackie is survived by five children, Claudette Soboleski and husband Edward of Southington, Lawrence Dupre and wife Emily of Southington, Rene Dupre and wife Kathy of Plantsville, Gene Dupre and wife Celeste of Charlotte, NC and Charles Dupre and wife Lori of Estero, FL; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. She is also survived by two brothers, Roger Tanguay and wife Rita, and Raymond Tanguay, one sister, Helen Poirier and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband Lucien C. Dupre and second husband, Franklin Dressel, five sisters; Jeannine Wright, Marie Marino, Yolanda Napp, Gertrude Gregory and Lucille Adshade and her brother, Gabriel Tanquay.
