James J. Pucci, 85, of Southington, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 27, 2025 at HOCC at New Britain. He was the beloved husband of Barbara (Phillips) Pucci for 56 years.
Jim was born in New Britain, CT to the late Emilio and Anita (Talevi) Pucci. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and worked as a field engineer at National Cash Register in Hartford for many years. He also co-owned and operated Electec Security with his twin brother, Gene.
Jim was a longtime parishioner at St. Dominic’s Church in Southington, attending daily Mass for many years. He was the ultimate “Mr. Fix It” and was up to try any repair that came his way. Jim enjoyed boating, snowmobiling, playing cards and Capitol Lunch hot dogs. He loved to travel and shared many wonderful trips with Barbara and their family and many friends. Above all else, family was most important to him. He will be deeply missed.
In addition to his wife Barbara, Jim is survived by two sons, Joseph Pucci of Holland, MA and John Pucci and his wife Tara of Southington and two cherished grandsons, Austin and Colton Pucci. He is also survived by two brothers, Eugene Pucci and wife Natalie of Kensington and Ronald Pucci of New Britain, two sisters, Lorraine Oraczewski of Newington and Geraldine Naples of Southington and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (https://www.stjude.org/).
