Janet A. Kowalczyk

Janet A. (Rodrique) Kowalczyk, 70, of Bristol, CT, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Bridgeport. She was the loving wife of James P. Kowalczyk for 25 years.

Janet was born on October 24, 1953 in Waterbury, CT. She loved making ceramics with her friends from the Bristol Senior Center and gifting her beautiful creations to family and friends, especially around the holidays.

In addition to her husband Jim, Janet is survived by her mother, Patricia Linscott of New Hampshire, 4 sons; Derek Zito of NC, Glenn Haynes (Erica) of ME, Kevin Barriault of MA and Craig Barriault (Linda) of Torrington, CT and grandchildren, Brianna, Kevin Jr., Clair, Aaron, Bethany, Dawn, Parker and Ella. She is also survived by her sister, Pamela Damon of Bristol, mother-in-law, Mary Kowalczyk, brother-in-law, Robert Kowalczyk (Lea), 2 sisters-in-law, Mary Petruzzi (Michael) and Eva Verrilli (Tony), all of Southington, her lifelong friend, Cheryl Woodward of Bristol and many nieces and nephews.

Janet was predeceased by her father, Joseph “Roland” Rodrique, her sister, Melissa Bartlett, father-in-law, Robert Kowalczyk Sr. and brother-in-law, John Kowalczyk Sr.
