Janice “Jan” D. Procaccini, of Southington and formerly of Myrtle Beach, SC, passed away peacefully on the evening of July 04, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas J. Procaccini.
Jan was born in Spartanburg, SC, one of five daughters, to the late Dever and Virginia Huskey.
Jan was humble and lived simply, focusing on her family and those she loved most. With her southern accent and hospitality, she was a phenomenal host of many family gatherings. She had an infectious laugh, kind heart and was strong in her faith. Most notably, Jan was a helper by nature, helping all of us without limits. She was a NY Yankees fan and loved dancing to beach shag music and enjoyed a good glass of wine amongst friends and family.
Jan is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Procaccini, son, Nicholas Procaccini (Kate Skrzypiec), her grandchildren, Lacee Mueller and her husband, Preston, Spencer Levesque, Skylar Michaud and Carter Michaud, and her great-grandson, Blake Mueller, all of Southington. She is also survived by her sisters, Ellen Gosnell, Judy Smith, both of SC, Kathy Huskey of Alaska, brother-in-law, Jim Procaccini and his wife, Arlene of Southington and sister-in-law, Aldona Procaccini of South Windsor, along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and many friends, including her dear friend, Patrick Ford of Southington. In addition to her husband, Jan was predeceased by her infant sister, Carol Huskey, brothers-in-law, Wayne Gosnell, Allen Smith and Richard Procaccini, nieces, Jennifer Plumley, Patricia (Procaccini) Torbicki and a great-niece Lily.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jan’s memory may be made to American Cancer Society, (https://donate3.cancer.org), or to the Meriden Humane Society, 311 Murdock Avenue, Meriden, CT 06450 (meridenhumanesocietyrescue.com).
