Jeffrey H. Gargano

Jeffrey H. Gargano, 61, of Bristol and formerly of Southington, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 8, 2026 at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was the loving husband of Linda (Wright) Gargano for nearly 38 years.

Jeff was born in New Haven, CT on October 27, 1964 to the late Andrew Gargano and Marie (Battista) Gargano Ponzillo, and raised with love and devotion by his late father Anthony Ponzillo. He graduated from Southington High School, Class of 1982 and proudly served in the U.S. National Guard. Jeff retired from the Town of Cheshire where he worked as a municipal worker for many years and most recently was employed by the City of Bristol. He absolutely loved to fish and enjoyed puzzles, playing cards, eating dessert, and Frank Pepe’s pizza. Above all else, Jeff was dedicated to his family as a loving husband, father, and the proudest “Poppy” to his grandson.

In addition to his wife Linda, Jeff is survived by his two sons, Matthew J. Gargano and his wife Whitney of Salt Lake City, UT and Michael A. Gargano and his wife Janet of Denver, CO and one cherished grandson, Enzo Anthony. He is also survived by his brother, Joseph Gargano and his wife Beverly of East Haven, CT and many nieces and nephews.
