JoAnn V. Spratto

JoAnn V. (Zygmunt) Spratto, 80, of Southington, passed away peacefully at Apple Rehab in Plainville on Monday, December 19, 2022, after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was the loving wife of Nicholas R. Spratto Sr. for 60 years.

JoAnn was born on June 13, 1942 in New Britain. She enjoyed crafting, gardening, cooking for her family, especially her delicious galumpkis and pistachio cake, and trips to the casino with her daughter, Robin. Most of all, JoAnn loved her family and will be deeply missed.

In addition to her husband Nick, she is survived by 3 children; daughter, Robin Folcik, son Nicholas R. Spratto Jr. and his wife Elisabeth and daughter, Michele Parillo; 7 grandchildren; Danny Folcik (Faith Knell), Matthew Folcik, Mary Bouchard (Tyler Bouchard), Emily Mastroianni (RJ Mastroianni), Zachary Spratto, Anthony Parillo and Alexandra Parillo and 6 great-grandchildren; Harvey Folcik, Travis, Addie and Allie Bouchard and Gianni and Luca Mastroianni and her beloved cat, Tinkerbell. She was predeceased by her mother and stepfather, Robert and Florence (Danieleski) Ferguson, infant son, Michael Thomas Spratto and her sister, Linda Hoefer.

JoAnn’s family would like to extend a special thank you to her hospice caregivers from AccentCare, especially John and Heidi, for their compassion and the excellent care they provided to her.
