Joanne B. Bystrak

Joanne B. (Parciak) Bystrak, 93, of Southington, beloved wife for 66 years of Eugene R. Bystrak, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2026.

Born in New Britain on November 19, 1932, daughter of the late Joseph and Veronica (Juchniewicz) Parciak, she had been a longtime resident of Southington. Joanne retired from Johnson & Johnson in Southington after many years of service. Joanne loved spending time with her family, reading, and gardening, and was a dedicated UCONN women’s basketball fan.

She is survived by her sons, Paul Bystrak and his wife Carolyn, and Eugene Bystrak Jr. and his wife Jill Corvese; grandchildren, Alysson (Bystrak) Campbell and her husband Corte, Alex Bystrak, Kristina Bystrak, and Tamara Bystrak and her wife Divina Bystrak; one great-grandchild, Xavier Campbell; and many other nephews and nieces. Joanne was predeceased by her husband Eugene R. Bystrak, and brother Edward Parciak and his wife Irene.

A graveside service for Joanne and Eugene will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Oak Hill Cemetery, 95 Flanders St., Southington, where Eugene will receive military honors.
