Joshua J. Lewkewich, 30, of Southington passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 2, 2016 in Florida.

He was born on May 12, 1986 in Hartford, son of John and Judith (McEntee) Lewkewich.

Joshua was a St. Paul's Catholic High School graduate, Class of 2005, playing on the ice hockey team for 4 years. He went on to the University of Scranton, where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Finance and Economics and continued his love of hockey playing. Joshua had a love of music and was a self-taught guitar player, playing in small venues around Connecticut.

In addition to his parents, Joshua is survived by his sister Keleen Rynne Ort and her husband Joe of Trumbull, his uncle Jay McEntee and wife Linda of PA; his aunt Annette Lukasik of Plantsville; his paternal grandfather, John Lewkewich of Southington and his cousins, Christine Lukasik of Middletown, George Lukasik of New Britain and Jimmy, Ricky and Jill McEntee, all of PA. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, James and Mary McEntee, his paternal grandmother, Antoinette Lewkewich, his aunt Carol Putnam and uncle George Lukasik.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at St. Aloysius Church, 254 Burritt St., Plantsville. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, Southington. Calling hours will be held from 4 - 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville.
