Listen to Obituary

Keith Alan Morris, 71, of Plantsville passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026 at THOCC New Britain Campus surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Catherine “Cath” Morris (Enright). Together, they shared a deep and unwavering bond as soulmates for 52 years.

Keith was born on September 30, 1954 at West Morlan Hospital in Greensburg, PA. He was the son of the late Edward Morris and Elizabeth “Boots” (Page) Morris.

He was a lifelong member of the First Lutheran Church of Southington. He graduated from Southington High School. He began his career as a skilled auto mechanic, known for his remarkable ability to diagnose a problem just by hearing it. He continued his dedicated work as a gas technician with Yankee Gas.

An avid skier, Keith was proud to have skied nearly every mountain in the Northeast with his childhood friends. One of his favorite memories was having the opportunity to ski Crested Butte, CO.

A third-degree black belt in Kenpo Karate, Keith considered this one of his greatest achievements. He shared his dedication and love for the discipline by opening East West Karate in Southington during the 1990’s.

Keith had many lifelong friends whom he shared endless memories with. He held a special place in his heart for his children’s friends, whom he considered part of his extended family. He shared many memorable moments with them, and each would have a special story to tell. Wednesdays were reserved for friendly games of bumper pool, a tradition he looked forward to each week with friends.

He enjoyed woodworking and was in the process of creating an N-scale train set and table with his grandchildren. He was the best dad anyone could ask for—devoted to his three children and so proud of his six grandchildren, who brought him endless joy.

Keith is survived by his son, Alan J. Morris of Plantsville, 2 daughters, Amy Wright and her husband Barry of Plantsville and Mary Positano and husband Steven “Posi” of Bristol and his grandchildren; Molly Wright, Patrick Wright, Mikayla Morris, Brayden Morris, Parker Positano and Piper Positano. He is also survived by his brother Eddie Morris and two nieces, Caitlin Enright and Piper Morris. Most importantly, he leaves behind his dog and best friend Snowflake. In addition to his wife Cath, Keith was predeceased by his brother John ‘Lenny’ Morris.

In lieu of flowers donations in Keith’s memory may be made to The Arthritis Foundation, “Parkers Posse”, (https://events.arthritis.org/teams/41939).
