Kenneth J. Barron

Kenneth J. Barron, 56, of the Plantsville section of Southington, passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.

Born on May 27, 1970 in New Britain, Ken was the son of Robert W. Barron and Gail Rametta.

Ken worked for the Habasit America of Middletown as a service technician. He loved working with his hands, whether it was working on cars or simply figuring out how to fix things. He was truly a “hands-on mechanic” and took pride in being able to fix whatever he touched. He treasured quiet times by the water, casting his fishing pole and just being surrounded by nature. Ken found joy in helping others, bringing smiles, laughter and happiness to everyone around him. Most of all, he cherished watching his children grow into the wonderful young adults they are today. Their happiness and accomplishments were a constant source of pride and love. His infectious laughter will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

Kenneth is survived by his children, Matthew W. Barron of MA, Daniel M. Barron and Elizabeth R. Barron, and the mother of his children, Cynthia L. Barron, all of Newington, his parents, Robert Barron of Bristol and Gail Rametta of Plantsville, his sister, Susan Bernaiche (Timothy) of Bristol. He is also survived by a large loving extended family.
