Kenneth M. Cole Sr

Kenneth M. Cole Sr., 87, of Southington, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2015 at Apple Valley Rehab in Plainville. He had been the loving husband of the late June (Hall) Cole for 51 years.

Born Dec. 4, 1927 in Gloversville, NY to the late Roy and Inez (Noble) Cole, he had been a longtime Southington resident.

Mr. Cole proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked as a plumber at Janazzos and a school bus driver for New Britain Transportation. Ken was a member of the American Legion Kiltonic Post 72 in Southington and active in the Boyscouts Troop 32.

Kenneth is survived by his son Kenneth H. Cole and his wife Lisa of Plantsville, his daughter Kelly C. Saucier of Southington and 4 grandchildren: Jessica and Kayla Cole and Erin and Daniel Saucier.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015 at the First Congregational Church, 37 Main St., Southington. Burial with full military honors will follow in South End Cemetery, Southington. Calling hours will be on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015 from 4-7 p.m. at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S.
