Kenneth E. Turgeon, 90, of Southington, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 9, 2026 at the HOCC of New Britain. He was the beloved husband of the late Patricia (Brasile) Turgeon for over 60 years.
Ken was born in Newington on June 15, 1936 to the late Albert and Lucelia (Nichols) Turgeon and attended Newington schools. He proudly served in the United States Air National Guard and was honorably discharged in 1959.
Ken enjoyed a long and rewarding career as a grocery industry salesman. He valued his customers, especially enjoying his visits to stores throughout the area, and retired from Bozutto’s, Inc. in 2002. At home, Ken loved caring for his cats, Baby and Duke, and tending to his plants.
He is survived by his daughter, Denise Niland and her husband Matthew of Southington, two grandchildren, Tanner Niland and Rebecca Niland (Alex Iby), one brother, Russell Turgeon of Newington, one sister, Agnes Bart of Farmington, two brothers-in-law, Stephen Brasile (Sheila) of Bristol and James Brasile (Elaine) of Newington and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind a wonderful group of neighbors, especially Rina, Nelson, and Christine.
In addition to his wife Pat, Ken was predeceased by his sister, Marjorie Roth and brother, Martin Turgeon, sister-in-law, Loretta Turgeon and brothers-in-law, Joseph Bart and William Roth.
Ken’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses at HOCC of New Britain for their compassion and excellent care.

A memorial service will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 14, 2026 at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Southington.
