Leola (Sullivan) Topshe, 90, of Southington and formerly of East Charleston, Vermont, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, June 4, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Topshe who predeceased her 25 years ago to the day in 2000.
Leola was born on December 24, 1934 in Hartford, CT to the late Leo and Evelyn (Walsh) Sullivan.

Her hands were always in the soil while working at her beautiful lake home on Echo Lake in the NEK of Vermont. Her home was also a sanctuary for stray and injured animals; always caring for God’s creatures.
Leola also embraced the joys of leisure; enjoying rounds of golf and nights filled with laughter while watching her favorite show, Jeopardy.
She is survived by her daughter, Leslie Brennan and husband Tim, with whom she shared their home, and son, Curtiss Topshe, who also resides in Southington, and her cherished grandson, Conor Sullivan Brennan of Boulder, Colorado. She is also survived by two brothers, Thomas Sullivan and Charles Sullivan and her beloved dog, Nelly. In addition to her husband Bob, Leola was predeceased by her sisters, Elsie Johnson, Peggy McNeil, Patty Sullivan and Marie Agnes Sullivan Coty.
