Linda S. Koeppel

Linda Susan (Boick) Koeppel, 73, of Southington, passed away at her home on May 27, after ultimately coming to a truce with her metastatic breast cancer, surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving wife of Robert Koeppel for 47 years.

Linda was born in Providence, RI on February 24, 1949 to the late John and Helen (Wheeler) Boick and had been a longtime Southington resident.

Linda worked as a Database Administrator at the Hartford, retiring after many years of service. Linda was a kind and gracious person, always willing to help those in need. She loved reading, especially Terry Pratchett books and was a talented quilter, bringing happiness to many people by sharing her creations. She also loved animals, especially her cat, Jax and her dog, Maggie.

In addition to her husband Bob, Linda is survived by 2 children, daughter, Lorissa Markey and her husband Nicklos of South Windsor and son, Christopher Koeppel and his wife Mariah of Sherman Oaks, CA and 3 grandchildren, Ethan Markey, Caroline Markey and Olivia Huehner. She is also survived by her sister, Sandy Chapasko of Point Judith, RI and brother, John Boick and wife Rosemarie of Mechanicsville, PA and many nieces and nephews.

Linda’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the hard-working staff from Hartford Healthcare at Home and to all of the CNAs, nurses and doctors at UCONN Healthcare for the compassion and care that they provided to both Linda and her family.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 10^th at 2:00 p.m. at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St, Plantsville. Calling hours will be held before the service from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
