Listen to Obituary

With profound sadness and endless love, we announce the passing of Lori L. (Kramer) Cyr, of Wolcott and formerly of Southington, who passed away peacefully at home on June 11, 2026, surrounded by the family she cherished above all else, after a courageous and hard-fought battle with breast cancer.

Born on November 9, 1962, in Hartford, Connecticut, Lori was the beloved daughter of the late Arthur William Henry Kramer Jr. and Patricia Joan (Lillis) Kramer. A proud graduate of Southington High School, Class of 1980, Lori spent her life doing what came most naturally to her—loving, caring for, and uplifting others.

To know Lori was to know kindness. She had a remarkable gift for making people feel seen, welcomed, and loved. Her heart was endlessly generous, and she spent her life putting the needs of others before her own. Whether caring for her children, grandchildren, family members, friends, foster children, or even a stranger in need, Lori gave of herself freely and without hesitation.

Lori was the definition of strength. She faced life’s challenges, including two battles with breast cancer, with grace, determination, and unwavering courage. Even during her hardest days, she remained focused on the people she loved, offering comfort, encouragement, and support. Her resilience inspired everyone who knew her, and her positive spirit remained a light to her family until the very end.

She found joy in life’s simple treasures—a house filled with loved ones, tending to her beloved plants, sharing stories and laughter, and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved the color pink, beautiful flowers, and creating a home where everyone felt welcomed and cared for. Above all else, she was a devoted mother and grandmother, roles that brought her immense pride and happiness.

Lori leaves behind a family who adored her and will carry her love with them forever: her children, Adam J. Cyr Sr. of Wolcott, Abbey R. Palmisano of Wolcott, Carmen Anne E. Cyr of East Hartford, and Cori L. Cyr of Southington; her cherished grandchildren, Adam Jr., Caleb, Stella, Giovanni, and Skyler; her daughter-in-law, Amber Cyr; and son-in-law, Joseph Palmisano. She is also survived by her brothers, Arthur “Artie” William Henry Kramer and Kevin Kramer, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were touched by her compassion and generosity. In addition to her parents, Lori was predeceased by her former husband, Jim Cyr.

Though our hearts are broken by her loss, we find comfort in the extraordinary legacy she leaves behind. Lori taught us what it means to be selfless, resilient, compassionate, and strong. She showed us how to love without conditions, care without limits, and find beauty even in life’s hardest moments. Her spirit will continue to live on in the countless lives she touched and in the family she loved so fiercely.

A Message from Her Children:

Mom, you were our safe place, our greatest supporter, and our best friend. You taught us how to be strong, how to care for others, and how to love with our whole hearts. No matter how old we became, your arms were always home. We will miss your voice, your laughter, your advice, and your unwavering love every day for the rest of our lives. Thank you for every sacrifice, every lesson, every hug, and every moment. We are who we are because of you. We love you endlessly, and we will carry your love with us forever until we meet again.
