Lorraine (Pucci) Oraczewski, 88, of Farmington, CT, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 1, 2025 at the HOCC at New Britain. She was the loving wife of the late Frank C. Oraczewski for 34 years.
Lorraine was born in New Britain, one of five children, to the late Emilio and Anita (Talevi) Pucci. She had a long career at General Motors Acceptance Corporation (GMAC) where she worked as an accounting clerk and eventually retired in management after many years of service.
Lorraine was a phenomenal cook and loved sharing her skills with her grandchildren. Everything she made was delicious, especially her pizzas, pasta, lots of cookies, and the Polish dishes she learned to make for her husband, Frank. Lorraine also had a knack for crafting, stamping, and putting together flower arrangements. She enjoyed traveling, breakfast dates with family and friends, and cheering on the UCONN Women’s basketball team. She will be deeply missed.
Lorraine is survived by her children: Cindy J. Colston, Cheryl A. Rasmussen (Phil) and Darryl E. Johnson (Linda); grandchildren: Drew Colston (Morgan), Rachel Colston (Megan), Sarah Alfano (Dominic), Shelby Johnson (Courtney), Brandon Johnson (Courtney), Melissa Johnson (Derek), Skye Dowler (Scott), Philip Rasmussen, Shaina Rosenbleet (Ben) and Shane Duncan and great-grandchildren: Shaela, Ayianna, Avi, Eleanora, Eli, Charlotte, Wyatt, Carter, Cole, and Claire. She is also survived by siblings: Eugene Pucci (Natalie), Geraldine Naples and Ronald Pucci, sister-in-law, Barbara Pucci and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Frank, Lorraine was predeceased by her brother, James Pucci and son-in-law, Philip Colston.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Lorraine’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (https://www.alz.org/ct) or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
