Luella E. McKay, 87, of Southington, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at The Summit at Plantsville. She had been the loving wife of the late Thomas McKay.

Born Oct. 14, 1928 in Plattsburg, NY to the late Hilburn and Irene (Laferrier) Williams, she had been a longtime Southington resident.

Luella is survived by her three children: Thomas McKay of Plainville, John Mckay of Groton and Elizabeth Rousseau of Wolcott. She also leaves behind her brother Wesley Williams of Wolcott, her sister Patricia McCallister of Plattsburg, NY, 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter Cathy Zarbo.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Luella's memory may be made to Alzheimer's Resource Center of Connecticut, 1261 S. Main St., Plantsville, CT 06479.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday October 1, 2016 at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville. Burial will follow in South End Cemetery, Southington.
