Luigino Barile

Luigino “Lou” Barile, 96, of the Plantsville section of Southington, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 18, 2026 at the Summit at Plantsville. Born on July 17, 1930 in Hartford, CT to the late Joseph and Mary (DePaolo) Barile, he had been a longtime Plantsville resident. Luigino proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1948 – 1951. He retired from Pratt & Whitney after 40+ years of service.

Lou is survived by four children, Michael Barile of Waterbury, Laura Barile of Howe, OK, Jeffrey Barile of Plantsville and Tracy Osher and her husband Jody of Plantsville; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Joyce (Barrows) Barile, one daughter, Linda Lavway, four brothers and four sisters.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at Oak Hill Cemetery, 95 Flanders St., Plantsville.
