Marcia A. Stocking

Marcia A. (Hanson) Stocking, 79, of the Plantsville section of Southington, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, January 10, 2021. She was the loving wife of the late Robert W. Stocking for nearly 35 years.

Born on January 16, 1941 in New Haven to the late Charles and Helen (Hannon) Hanson, she had been a longtime Southington resident.

Marcia worked with the disabled for many years at the CT Institute for the Blind/Oak Hill School. She loved traveling and saw much of the world. Most of all, she was a loving mother and grandmother.

Marcia is survived by four children; Charles Angeli and Toby E. Paradis of Southington, Lisa B. Schabel and her husband Alan of Durham, Michael Angeli and his wife Tammy of Portland and Jonathan Stange of Southington; 7 grandchildren: Nicole J. Schabel, Krystal Billings and husband Matt, Christina Angeli, Michael C. Angeli and wife Robyn, Chelsey L. Dash and husband Gregory, Samantha E. Lucanie and husband Leonardo and Mark T. Angeli II and wife Angelina; 8 great-grandchildren: Jacob and Chase Schabel, Isabella Angeli, Mark Angeli III, Lucas Angeli, Maddox Billings, Michael A. Angeli and Jack M. Dash and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Robert, she was predeceased by her son, Mark T. Angeli, her grandson, Alan F. Schabel Jr. and her sister, Joan Mark.

Marcia’s family would like to thank her loving caregiver, Shannon Ciera, for the excellent care and friendship she provided to Marcia over the years and also extend their appreciation to her youngest son Jonathan for his dedicated love and care.
