Marilyn (Tuttle) Huntley, 91, of Southington, died peacefully at her home on Thursday, May 8,2025. She was born in Waterbury, CT on March 10, 1934, daughter of the late Edward and Adelia (Thompson) Tuttle. She was predeceased by the late Harold W. Huntley and their infant son, Jude.

Marilyn graduated from local schools and went on to graduate as an R.N. from St. Francis School of Nursing. She received her Bachelor's Degree in the nursing program at Central Community State College and a Master's Degree in pastoral counseling from St. Joseph College.She worked in many areas of nursing but her most treasured time was as a Hospice nurse and pastoral counselor. She had a strong spiritual belief in God and was a parishioner at Mary Our Queen Church in Southington.

Her greatest joy was the time spent with family and friends and was a trusted friend to many. She enjoyed her gardens of flowers, bird watching, music and reading. She will always be remembered for her devotion to her faith in God, her family as well as her many patients.

She is survived by her three children: son, Edward Huntley and his wife Mary of Oxford; son, Russ Huntley and his wife Colleen of Burlington; daughter, Adelia Rand and her husband Rob of Plantsville; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Connecticut Nurses Honor Guard located at 88 Kimberley Road, Newington, Connecticut 06111-1009 (ctnurseshonorguard.org/).

A Mass of Christian Burial in her honor will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at St. Dominic’s Church,1050 Flanders Rd., Southington. A private burial will be held at St. Thomas Cemetery at a future date. There are no calling hours. Plantsville Funeral Home has been entrusted with handling the arrangements.
