Marion T. (Boocock) Armstrong, 91, of the Plantsville section of Southington, passed away peacefully on Thursday October 13, 2016 at Cheshire Regional Rehab Center. She had been the loving wife of the late Arthur S. Armstrong Sr.

Born on Feb. 23, 1925 to the late Robinson and Lillian (Webster) Boocock, she had been a longtime Plantsville resident.

Marion graduated from Haverhill High, MA and then studied Anatomy and Physiology at the Lawrence Memorial School of Nursing. She retired from Bradley Memorial Hospital where she worked as a registered nurse in OB and the ER for over 20 years. Marion was a longtime member of Mary Our Queen Church and loved to read.

She is survived by her four children: son, Arthur R. Armstrong of Southington and three daughters; Lynne Armstrong of Concord, NH, Jeanne Pichette and her husband Ronald of Plantsville, Patricia Tartaglino and her husband, Martin Tartaglino, Sr. of Torrington, and 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, her sister Doris Jollimore of Plaistow, NH and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sons: James, Stephen and Paul Armstrong, her sister Alice Smith and two brothers-in-law, Donald Jollimore and Fred Smith.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016 at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, Southington.
